On a wing and a prayer. Wish me luck. I do own my Subaru Legacy Outback wagon outright, and if I were to end up living in my car, in any car, that would be the one I would want to do it in. I guess that’s not really a plan, is it?

I’ve got an IRA in place right now that I do not touch.

My husband has done extensive research into various savings plans. We use E*Trade for most of our transactions. He invests our IRA savings in several different products such as a variety of stocks and bonds. We also have several kinds of insurance to cover future expenses, and two or three pension plans from his employer.

I am currently receiving Social Security, and we had been putting my checks into IRA savings accounts before my son and grandsons became unemployed. We are now using the money to help out other family members.

By saving every penny I can and trying to line up freelance work. Wish I had been that diligent when I started working.

The book, “Retirement Rx, The Retirement Docs’ Proven Prescription for Living a Happy, Fulfilling Rest of Your Life, Find out Why Financial Planning Is Not Enough.” It was written because all the material the authors found on retirement, only had to do with finances.

I do 2 things: Firstly, I am building a long term online business, which will provide me with passive income (via advertising, affiliate programs, selling egoods etc.) during my retirement. And secondly, I am researching best places to retire. Countries where you can have the same or a better quality of life for lower costs than in the US or most European countries.

For now, its mostly financial, with investments and various types of savings. I am receiving Social Security, but my husband will be working for several more years, so it’ll be awhile.
